The 2017 Sundays at Scioto summer concert series has officially come to a close. Dublin Arts Council is incredibly grateful for its supporters, performers, donors, vendors, sponsors, and attendees throughout the season, and would like to take a moment to thank those who made this season a success.

Our Talented Performers

The 34th season kicked off with 7 Bridges, ‘the ultimate Eagles experience’. The group was so popular and the crowd so big, the park hit maximum capacity! The second band went a different direction with their music. Davina and The Vagabonds put on a wonderfully upbeat show, despite threats of rain. Scioto Park stayed remarkably dry and everyone stayed in good spirits. DAC then had the pleasure of hosting Alexis Gomez, American Idol contestant and country music vocalist. The crowd was packed with her fans of all ages. Dulahan, the next performer, played traditional Irish music, while being accompanied by dance troupe Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance. Both Irish groups gave an exciting and energetic performance that the crowd loved. In addition to these performers, magician and comedian Erik Tait performed a mind-bending illusion before the concert. The following week’s performer, The Ark Band, brought rhythmic reggae to Dublin. Audience members couldn’t keep themselves from dancing! Then, The Malpass Brothers delivered a traditional country concert nothing short of fantastic! The group played classic songs, told hilarious jokes, and knew how to entertain a crowd. Unfortunately, the next performer, PopGun, wasn’t able to perform due to inclement weather. Dublin was heartbroken upon learning the group wouldn’t be able to play. The final Sundays at Scioto performance was a show by Six Appeal, the six-member all-male A Capella group from Minnesota. The guys kept the crowd entertained with incredible vocal skills, fun dance moves, and encouraged audience participation. Dublin Arts Council is honored to host such talented and genuine musicians year after year. Summers wouldn’t be the same without them! Next season’s lineup will be announced at a later date.

Our Incredible Food Vendors

Having such wonderful food and dessert vendors kept audience members happy and their stomachs full! Dublin Arts Council would like to extend gratitude to all participating food vendors. These include A Cut Above Cuisine, Schmidt’s Sausage Haus, Barroluco Argentine Comfort Food, Pitabilities, Kinetic Food Truck, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, and Rime Time Curiously Crafted Pops. These vendors cooked up a variety of creative cuisine from all over the globe, and DAC is grateful for their participation.
