Call for Student Artwork

“The Emerging exhibition provides a supportive community that helps give children like me a chance to show who they really are. Having this amazing program opened up my eyes
and showed me that
I could be an artist.”

- Valentina V., 8th grade student

Emerging is an annual exhibition at Dublin Arts Council (DAC) which celebrates the next generation of artists. Entries are now open for Emerging 2025 and will close on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 5 p.m.

The exhibition will be on display from January 11-February 27, 2025. Opening reception will take place on Saturday, January 11, 11am-2pm.

Entry guidelines:

  • Students in grades K-12 and those enrolled in the PATHS program are eligible to submit. They must attend a Dublin City School or have participated in a DAC program, such as the Riverbox™ Collection, art workshops, or past Emerging exhibitions.

  • This year, one artwork may be submitted per student, due to limited gallery space and high volume of submissions.

  • There is an entry fee of $10 per artwork.

  • Artworks must be framed and ready to hang (hardware attached to the back). Learn more about submitting and exhibiting artwork  in this Guide to Submitting Artwork to Emerging.

Submission instructions:

  1. Submit this online application form and pay the $10 submission fee.

    • (A PayPal account is NOT required for payment. Click below the "Log In" button and select "Pay with Credit Card.)

  2. Drop off your artwork at Dublin Arts Council, 7125 Riverside Drive, Dublin, OH 43016. DAC hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10am-5pm and every second Saturday of the month, 11am-2pm. Here are dates to keep in mind for art drop-off:

  • Tuesday, November 5: DAC Closed for Election Day

  • Saturday, November 9: DAC’s open Saturday hours, 11am-2pm

  • Monday, November 11: DAC Closed for Veteran’s Day
