Masayuki Miyajima will return to the Dublin Arts Council gallery to close the 2019 Visual Arts Series with a solo exhibition of functional Japanese ceramic artwork in a continued exploration of material, form, substance and function to produce pottery imbued with a combination of body, mind and spirit. The exhibition will feature elegant handcrafted stoneware and porcelain objects, carved and inlayed with a variety of patterns, created in Miyajima’s studio situated outside of Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, one of Dublin, Ohio’s Friendship Cities.
Gallery hours are Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
