Keenan-Hall Library

Directly across the main entrance is the Keenan-Hall Library, which features original solid wood paneling and a working gas fireplace. This cozy room, a favorite of long-time resident Eleanor Gelpi, now houses the office of Dublin Arts Council’s program manager and serves as a welcoming space to the Dublin Arts Center.

Main Gallery

At the south end of the facility is the Dublin Arts Council gallery. Formerly the living room, which featured a stunning grand piano, the gallery provides 570 sq. ft. of space, activated to feature a rotating schedule of exhibitions by local, national, and international artists.

Sunporch

Connecting the gallery with the north end of the house, the sunporch offers breathtaking views and stunning sunsets above the landscape that rolls gently down to the Scioto River. The room was originally a screened-in porch with flagstone styled flooring that was enclosed by the Gelpi family.

Dublin AM Rotary Conference Room

Located off the main entrance, the Dublin AM Rotary Conference Room is perfect for small meetings and presentations. The former dining room features a full wall mirror and an original custom mural, painted on canvas. The glass chandelier is a custom work of art titled “Rain Chandelier,” created in 2013 by Columbus glass artist Anthony “A.J.” Gelpi, for what was once his grandmother’s dining room.

North Gallery

Before it was remodeled in the 1990s, this former gourmet kitchen space contained a small kitchen, a maid’s room and a breakfast room. Previous renovation of the space included a center island, with countertops and appliances along the length of both walls, all finished with the cream-colored cabinetry and white marble seen throughout the home today. The space now serves as Dublin Arts Council’s North Gallery and as additional classroom space, providing natural light and a view of the landscape for inspiration.
